History
KGC International Skill Center was set up in 2016 and is a fully owned subsidiary of KGC Group, established in 1974. One of the core activities of the group has been related to heavy fabrication of static equipment’s for a wide range of industry sector such as the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, Fertilizers and Off shore Industry.
As the company broadened its horizons by entering into global markets, it was met by a number of challenges. Consistency in quality and delivery was an absolute necessity to sustain in the international market. This meant that it was imperative to develop good systems and standard operating procedures to achieve the consistency. It was time to change the culture of the company, which gave birth to our internal training programs in 2004. Initially the company started its training programs for its employees in manufacturing related activities such as welding, fitting, NDT, inspection etc. Improvising its training techniques and methodology every year, we were able to maintain the consistency in quality and delivery, which resulted in taking the company to new newer grounds every year. As the clients grew ever demanding, quality became a habit. It soon got engraved in our culture.
With the western and European companies laying its bench mark in quality, it was necessary to raise the standards of Indian manufacturing Industries. During these years we saw a large deficit between the required skills and available skills in the market. This meant that the engineering community was struggling to cope up with the ever demanding global market.
KCG decided that it was time to use the knowledge and expertise it had gained over four decades, and put it in the right use by skilling and training the youth of the country, thereby providing employment opportunities and at the same time making good skills available to the Global Engineering Community.
Through its established network, KGC was able to connect and assemble a team of experts who share the same vision as us. By establishing good programs and strict assessment, KGC has been able to train, certify and provide employment for all its candidates so far. Our courses also include technical and graduate programs which enhances the knowledge and skills of young graduates thus increasing their chances of employment in the industry.
The foundation stone for the skill center was laid on 6th January 2014. Same got impetus by our current government’s vision. Working on the thought process of our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are imparting well-crafted skill programs to educate, inform and inspire the youth of India.
